My CV
Hi! 👋 I’m Jayen Hirani
I help organisations navigate complexity. My career has been defined by a simple, consistent mission: taking high-stakes, ambiguous problems and turning them into clear, actionable strategies.
Over the last eight years, I’ve moved between the heart of policy and the mechanics of delivery. I’ve built innovative systems to track national trade flows, redesigned financial models to eliminate bottlenecks, and led the kind of change that turns “days of work” into “minutes of processing”.
I specialise in bridging the gap between technical data and human decision-making. Whether it’s through developing robust strategy, facilitating change management, or just plain-English communication, my goal is always the same: cut through the noise, build consensus, and deliver solutions that stick.
My Skills#
- Strategic Translation & Influence: Expert at distilling complex work into clear narratives that align multi-disciplinary teams and drive senior decision‑making.
- Systems Thinking & Problem-Framing: Skilled in framing ambiguous problems, facilitating workshops to identify root causes, and designing structured solutions.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Influence: Trusted advisor who builds organisational capability by bridging the gap between technical, policy, and operational teams to ensure shared understanding and goals.
- Change Leadership & Team Resilience: Advocate for inclusive culture, designing data-led wellbeing initiatives that improved staff engagement by 30% during periods of structural change.
- Technical Fluency & Evidence-Led Strategy: Leveraging Python, SQL, Power BI and AI tools like Copilot within risk frameworks to challenge assumptions and enable high-impact decision-making.

My Journey#
- 📚 Studied Financial Mathematics in the hopes of becoming an Actuary

- 💚 I became a mental health and wellbeing champion, regularly giving talks, running workshops and advocating for my division at a human and personal level
- 💵 I’m also (very randomly) qualified as a financial advisor
- ➡️ Looking to change careers, take my transferrable skills in analysis and transition them into roles in strategy, change management and transformation
Personal Interests#
Outside of work, I am a huge advocate for comics, it’s a vastly misunderstood medium that blends art and storytelling in ways few other formats can. It’s my go-to for thoughtful, emotional and complex narratives. When you see me, ask for recommendations!
I’m also an avid walker and a lifelong learner. You’ll most likely spot me on a long walk, usually accompanied by a podcast or a favourite album on full blast.
